Mobile Security Assessment
PaRaBaL is now offering comprehensive security assistance for IT security professionals who have iOS devices in their enterprise. Our knowledge helps our clients streamline mobile device rollouts in addition to adjusting mobile policies and producers to account for new OS versions. We are uniquely situated to use our expertise to offer consultations to security professionals within organizations that want to deploy iPads, iPhones, Androids and other devices.
The PaRaBaL iOS and Android Security Assessment for the Enterprise consists of the following four step process:
Consultation and Training:
Initial consultation with the Organization’s IT Security Staff or Officer. This process is a one-on-one session to gather data on current company issued iOS devices and applications. During this step, we will: – Scope out the reach of the mobile devices within the organization to see how they are used, and what applications are common; – Offer a deep technical training to key IT persons educate about the possible risks within the iPad, iPhone, and other devices; and – Deliver a report with recommendations based on findings.
Implementation:
PaRaBaL can be engaged to implement some of the suggestions made in the report, which can include purchasing equipment as well as performing installations on the units. This could include: – Assist with considering the use of a MDM (Mobile Device Management) tool and help in selecting the version most appropriate for the organization; – Highlight the use of remote and on-site mobile data destruction; – Assist with device setup and configuration based on the customer’s needs relayed during the initial consultation; – Help select appropriate apps already within the market to fit the organization’s needs—or have PaRaBaL’s developers create custom apps;
Security Plan:
After a review, PaRaBaL can develop and provide a supplemental mobile security plan to add to the existing corporate plan, or will adapt the current security plan with the additional mobile information. PaRaBaL will monitor the plan and supply updates when changes in the marketplace effect the existing plan.
User Training:
Finally, PaRaBaL can also offer single session trainings for employees that will be using mobile devices within the workplace. These are geared towards any and all employees using the devices. The training will help them set up and learn how to use the devices with enterprise security in mind. PaRaBaL’s training goal is to minimize the employee as a security hole to your organization. On-demand videos of our training can be made available for employees who missed the live training, or for future employees.
